Amidst the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, Anya journeys from Saint Petersburg to Paris to uncover her past, a past she does not remember. She is pursued by a determined Soviet officer, Gleb, who is haunted by his own family's past. Helped by street rat Dmitry, and court swindler Vlad, she must convince the Dowager Empress she is really Anastasia, as she increasingly comes to believe it herself.
